Code Club 2017

IT is one of the fastest growing industries in New Zealand. Kiwi kids now have a chance to create web and mobile apps quickly and offer them to a global market instantly. With a basic understanding of programming, design and a big imagination, the world can be your oyster.

Last year Junior Code Club was trialled and had great success. Students who participate in Code CLub throughout the year will work towards earning their end of year badge for Computer Science by completing challenges and projects. Students will be exposed to tasks that will teach and promote digital fluency such as robot coding, coding apps and tutorials to create games etc. There will be limited spaces for Code Club. Regular attendance is required to hold one’s space in the group. If your child cannot make Code Club, please email either of us.

Both Junior and Senior Code Club will run at the same time and will work collaboratively throughout the year when appropriate. Sessions will be on Monday afternoons from 3pm-4pm. Students will need to be in Room 22 promptly after school to begin workshops.
