Today we looked at augmented reality app, Quiver. It made our cool colouring pictures comes to life!

New Sphero Robots!

Thanks to many of our wonderful Code Clubbers efforts with fundraising, we were able to purchase 7 new Sphero Mini's. We are so excited to be able to run courses using these little robots.

Scratch JR

Our Junior Coders have been experimenting with creating their own games on Scratch JR. Ben and Lockie have been great mentors, taking us through various tutorials.

Edison Robots

We are so excited to have been able to purchase 20 brand new Edison Robots. Our second Junior Code Club course started last week and we were experimenting with these little robots. Students scanned barcodes which coded the Edison's to do different things like moving forward when we clapped, following a torchlight and more!

Junior Code Club - Bee-Bots!

We were blown away that over 40 students signed up to our first course for junior code club.

Over the last three weeks, we've worked away at learning the basics around these little robots and what an algorithm is (a set of instructions).

Junior club update

Junior Code Club has been having a great time exploring different tools and games.
Last week one student said "Is Code Club kind of like maths?".
They looked rather shocked when the reply was "Yes!".
